YOUTH BOXFIT CLASSES

When?

Saturdays 11:00am- Vaughan Location.

What is it?

Bag and pad focused box-fit training for youth ages 8-14 years old.

There is NO sparring in ANY of our classes- meaning, your child will never be hitting or be hit by another child.

What does “Box-Fit” mean?

Box-Fit means the class is focused on both on-bag and off-bag boxing technique and fitness. High intensity intervals are performed both on the bags and off the bags for an unbelievable cardiovascular and strength workout that is FUN FUN FUN!

How it works:

Sign up in person or on-line. Online registration must be done in the child’s name. All sessions are 60 minutes. We can accommodate up to 20 kids at a time.

All participants must be wrapped up prior to the session beginning (our staff will assist). We will teach everyone how to wrap their own hands. Hand wraps are provided for the first session but individuals must purchase hand wraps for any subsequent sessions.

We provide gloves but strongly suggest individuals purchase their own if there will be reoccurring sessions.

We always start ON-TIME. To maintain the integrity of the workout for everyone, the class will always start on time and any participant who is late should attempt to join with little disruption.

Class Structure

    • 5-10 minutes: warm-up and explanation of the combinations and movements they will perform.
    • 40-45 minutes: workout
    • 5 minutes: cool down and stretching

    • Regular K-O class prices apply (can be shared among family and used for Lagree classes as well).

Many teams come to us looking for a fun alternative to their regular training routine and to create some team cohesion at the same time. Our Box-Fit classes do just that. Your athletes will get worked, have fun, and work as a team in our room. Showing each other support and working together are always part of each work out.

DISCIPLINE & WORK ETHIC!

Box-fit teaches athletes what it means to be controlled and disciplined. It is not simply throwing punches at a bag; it is knowing the precise timing and type of punch to throw that makes boxing such a disciplined activity. The off-bag training requires just as much work ethic and perseverance as most “rounds” require an athlete to work at an all out pace for at least 90 seconds at a time.

AGILITY, HAND-EYE COORDINATION & QUICK THINKING

Our Boxfit classes are designed for ultimate skill transfer. No matter what sport you do outside of our classes, the skills that you will work on in the boxing studio are proven to show improvements on the field, ice, court, etc…From the one on one pad work with our trainers that teach quick thinking and test reaction time, to the agility ladders and boxing stance that teach how to move quickly and effectively, to the explosive movements using both body weight and equipment like battle-ropes and air dyne bikes, our Box-Fit classes ensure that all areas of performance are being worked on.

STRENGTH & STAMINA

Boxers are known to be the most physically fit athletes in the world. Their stamina and ability to maintain strength while working at their maximum capacity is remarkable. Improvements in total body strength and power are just some of the benefits your athlete will see.

How it works:

We assess the needs of your team and sport and tailor our classes with your sport specific skills and needs in mind. We pay great attention to form and ensure that we each session we build on the last in order to teach athletes the importance and confidence that comes with skill mastery. You can book sessions as frequently as you fit- the more frequent, the quicker the skill mastery and performance improvements (even outside of the studio) will be seen.

Team Training

For every minute we start late because an athlete is not ready, a “fun” team exercise will occur at the end of the class.
